Paper Slide Videos and more

Despite the tiresom, cold weather, things have been heating up in 6We as of late!  Students are in full creativity-mode working on projects in both Science and Language Arts.

Mr Harris has been doing a great job leading the class through their scale solar system project while Mrs. Wood is out recovering from her knee surgery!  Students have been busy painting, sculpting, measuring and building scale models of planets and are looking forward to pacing out their orbits in the back field next week!

In language arts, students have been experimenting with Paper Slide videos to demonstrate creative vocabulary. We are nearly completed our filming, and hope to upload our videos to a host website soon.  Watch this space for more information!

The Tracker Jackers

Since mid-December, we have been cross county skiing in Phys Ed class.  Once I (Holly) fell down and both my ski and boot came off.  It was cold and really funny. -  Paulo and Holly

In math we are learning about converting mixed numbers into improper fractions.  We are actually doing pretty good at it.  - Skylar

I changed my Twitter notification sound to a train on my iPod when somebody tweets me.  I plan on showing the teacher how. - Noel

In Science, we were working on a hypothesis for an experiment about space.  It is about how our solar system was made.   We are going to be testing the solar wind theory.  It is actually called the solar nebula theory.  (Thanks Connor!)- Holly and Nadia.
